Review: Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics

Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics
Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics by Charles Krauthammer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really cannot say how much I enjoyed reading this book. From the personal essays about chess games and Krauthammer’s eulogy for his brother, to the articles about US and world politics, I found each one interesting and enjoyable.

“Things That Matter” is a collection of articles and essays written by Charles Krauthammer over the past 30 years. The articles from the 1980’s and 1990’s were very interesting to me, as those were my childhood years, and I thought them enlightening and timely even today.

I would highly recommend this book for anyone to read, especially one who holds conservative ideals or one who would like to understand conservative thought. This book was more than well worth my time. I think I need to start reading Krauthammer’s syndicated column.
